Before Beginning an Application:
- Take a few minutes to review the guidelines (available on the ArtsFairfax website and below with each category) including eligibility requirements.
- Keep a record of your user name and password (each artist/team/organization may have only one).
Grant Applicants:
- Additional resources including grant information session presentations, sample applications, and grant guidelines are located on the ArtsFairfax website.
- Grant applicants are encouraged to attend a grant information session where the grant guidelines, review process, and online application are explained in detail.
- Please contact ArtsFairfax for instructions if you plan to apply for a grant with a Fiscal Sponsor.

Nonprofit arts organizations based in Fairfax County, the City of Fairfax, or the City of Falls Church are eligible to apply for Ticket & Participation Subsidy Grants.
The full list of eligibility criteria and funding restrictions begins on the first page of the Grant Guidelines linked above.
Ticket & Participation Subsidy applicants may request up to $5,000 per grant cycle (July 1-June 30). Organizations with under $20,000 in expenses from their most recently completed fiscal year may request a maximum of 25% of their fiscal year expenses. Ticket & Participation Subsidy Grants are paid in full at the time of the award. Eligible expenses include: Ticket Value; Fees/Tuition for classes, camps and workshops; and Transportation Expenses.
Applicants may apply for this grant retroactively. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until available funds are expended.
Prior to submitting a Ticket & Participation Subsidy Grant Application, an applicant must arrange plans with a community partner organization(s) (such as a community center, school, human services provider, etc.) to distribute tickets and have a firm confirmation of interest, including number requested. Applicants may submit the grant application retroactively.
